It’s been a LONG time since I’ve done a writing prompt. Now that I just finished the draft of my upcoming release Speaking the Truth of Christmas, I figured this would be a good time. I went over to my writing prompt generator to get a random prompt to write today.
I even added a whole new idea to the writing prompt generator: style! Now you can test out some fun new styles of writing if you’re in a creative slump.
So what did I get?
Genre: Romance
Setting: Waterfall
Style: Verse
The point of these prompts is to get you writing. I always say to aim for 500 words or about one scene. You can always write more or take the prompt and write a full-length story. Nothing is off limits when it comes to creative writing.
Now it’s time for what I’ve come up with. Here is my story:
I hope you enjoyed this short story. I know I had a lot of fun writing it!
If you’re interested in using the writing prompt generator, head on over to the Writing Prompt page and see what you get.
Happy Writing!
If you like this writing prompt in verse, let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to include them more often.
