Backstory
It all started on a cool November 1st. I was sitting at my laptop wondering when the inspiration would hit. It was 2016 and NaNoWriMo had just begun.
I began typing. The words flowed through me as page after page as I wrote Ryan’s story. I honestly had no idea what I was doing when I wrote this one. There was no plan, no idea, just a story that built its way from the very bottom. I completed writing just over 50,000 words for this book on November 30, 2016. Then I set it aside. I was very busy with school come the spring semester being that it was my last semester before earning my Bachelor’s degree.
Summertime. I finally decide to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo for the first time! I figured I would try editing Not Like Everyone Else. Well, I did! I got through the entire first draft of this book and documented my entire journey starting on my very first Camp NaNoWriMo post on my blog which you can read the posts starting here!
During this time, I decided that it needed a better ending. So I wrote an additional 10,000 words to create the ending. Which I like a whole lot better than the original!
Then it was back to editing and bringing you all the story that you are (will be) reading.
