Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024

It’s hard to believe that we’re already at the end of another year. As I sit down to write this post, I think back on how the beginning of 2023 felt so hard. I just had my second baby and thought there was no way I’d be able to keep up with it all. Somehow I was wrong. I’ve accomplished WAY more than I thought possible this year and I couldn’t be happier. Now it’s time to sit and plan my goals for 2024.

Before that, let me go back through the year and share some of my accomplishments. Then I’ll share some of the goals I plan on reaching in 2024.

Accomplishments of 2023

Published the Book Marketing Planner

There has never been a place where I could keep all of my pre-marketing plans together, so I made one. Now you have access to every detail you need to plan before and after publishing your book.

Posted Consistently on Bound to Writing

After having my first child, I slowly stopped blogging. Then I was on hiatus for 1.5 years. I’m happy to report that after having my second I have still been blogging pretty consistently throughout this year.

Wrote/Published Speaking the Truth of Christmas

This spur of the moment project popped into my head in June. I worked tirelessly on it during any of my free time. Then on December 7, 2023, it was published! This novella follows Lindsey through the holiday season. If you liked Speaking the Truth of Family, you will love to see Lindsey in this sweet holiday romance.

Created the Bound to Writing Shop

In order to separate my author work from my Etsy shop, I created the Bound to Writing Shop. Here I can sell my signed copies while having a clear shop theme.

Redesigned the Bound to Writing Etsy Shop

My market was a bit large here which is why I moved my signed copies to my shop. Now, the Bound to Writing Etsy Shop is just for authors who are looking for help writing and marketing their books.

Goals 2024

Finish Speaking the Truth Book 2

I know this was on my list for 2023, but I wrote and published another book instead. Now, I’m close to finishing draft 1 of this book and hope for a 2024 release.

Create a Post Publication Book Marketing Planner

I really like how my Original Book Marketing Planner came out and would like to create one that works for books that are already published.

Make New Author & Readers Friends

I’ve made a few new friends this past year, but would really like to continue making friends. It’s great to get to know everyone!

Start Writing Speaking the Truth Book 3?

I already know the overall plan for the next 2 books in the series. However, I don’t know which I want to write first. After I finish book 2, I’ll see and update you all then.

Write More Book Reviews

I’d love to start promoting more indie authors on my blog again. Being that this is a YA blog, I want to try to keep the reviews to YA/NA books. I’ve opened up my review requests again so you can reach out.
