Holiday Gift Guide for Readers

1) Books

Of course, any reader would love a fresh new book for the holiday.

But be aware of your reader’s book tastes. Don’t buy a book if you don’t know if it’s the genre they like. Also make sure your reader doesn’t already own a copy of the book.

Where to buy:

Any local book shop (ie. Barnes and Noble, Half Priced Books. etc.)

Amazon

Book Depository

2) Gift Cards

The safest gift you can give to your reader for the holidays is a gift card. You don’t have to worry if they already have the book and they will be able to purchase whatever they want. It’s a win-win in the gift giving department.

Where to buy:

Anywhere gift cards are sold.

3) Book Swag

Book swag is any item that relates to books or particular books that readers love. For example, you can go to almost any store and find Harry Potter trinkets, candies, and more. So if you know your readers favorite book or series, try finding an item to commemorate that love. Swag can include: postcards, posters, stickers, bookmarks, decals, pins, keychains, totes, candy.

  1. I love cool bookends! Of course a reader always need books or gift cards to throw at books but if you know your reader really, really well then a cool set of bookends are a really neat gift. It’s some thing they love but would hesitate to spend money on (because of books!)
