1) Books
Of course, any reader would love a fresh new book for the holiday.
But be aware of your reader’s book tastes. Don’t buy a book if you don’t know if it’s the genre they like. Also make sure your reader doesn’t already own a copy of the book.
Where to buy:
Any local book shop (ie. Barnes and Noble, Half Priced Books. etc.)
Amazon
Book Depository
2) Gift Cards
The safest gift you can give to your reader for the holidays is a gift card. You don’t have to worry if they already have the book and they will be able to purchase whatever they want. It’s a win-win in the gift giving department.
Where to buy:
Anywhere gift cards are sold.
3) Book Swag
Book swag is any item that relates to books or particular books that readers love. For example, you can go to almost any store and find Harry Potter trinkets, candies, and more. So if you know your readers favorite book or series, try finding an item to commemorate that love. Swag can include: postcards, posters, stickers, bookmarks, decals, pins, keychains, totes, candy.
Where to buy:
Etsy
Amazon

4) Jewelry
Jewelry is a unique gift option for a reader that likes to wear jewelry. Just like book swag, jewelry is a gift that you can specify to a reader’s favorite book or series.
Where to buy:
Etsy
Amazon
Some book shops
5) Book-Inspired Mugs
Does your reader like to collect or drink from mugs? Well then, I suggest trying out a book-inspired mug for a holiday gift. You can get a basic reader mug with a cute saying or go with a book-themed mug with your readers favorite book or series.

Amazon
Some book shops
6) Book-Inspired Candles
I’m a complete sucker for a good wax melt, so of course these will make my list! There are so many amazing soy wax small candle shops online that make the perfect smelling candles for book lovers. You can get your reader a candle that smells of books. Or one based on their favorite book or series. The options are endless.
Where to buy:
Etsy
Amazon
Some book shops
7) Book Sleeves
Help your reader protect their books with a book sleeve. These sleeves will keep the corners and covers safe when your reader travels with their books. Which is obviously everywhere because what book-lover doesn’t always have a book on them?
Where to buy:
Etsy
Amazon
8) Bookends
Your reader should be able to show off their beautiful books on their bookshelf, so help them out by getting them some decorative bookends. Find a style that your reader would like to display. It can be a favorite animal, character, design and so much more.
Where to buy:
Barnes and Noble or local book shop
Etsy
Amazon
9) Stationary
I mean, who doesn’t love stationary? Your reader needs somewhere to write down their to-be-read (TBR) list now don’t they? So go ahead and get them some colorful pens, notepads, and post-its.
Where to buy:
Any office supply store
Walmart
Etsy

I love cool bookends! Of course a reader always need books or gift cards to throw at books but if you know your reader really, really well then a cool set of bookends are a really neat gift. It’s some thing they love but would hesitate to spend money on (because of books!)
Yes!! As a reader all we want is books and we hesitate to buy other bookish items. So receiving bookish items as a gift is the ultimate win! 🤩
