I seem to find a lot of my favorite poets on Instagram. Reading the pictures they post and suddenly jumping down the rabbit hole of their feed. That is how I came across Jennae Cecelia and in turn found the book that I’ll be reviewing. So what book did I find to review for you? I’m going to be reviewing Jennae Cecelia’s latest poetry collection Uncaged Wallflower.
A bit of background before I begin. Uncaged Wallflower is about positivity. Positivity surrounding yourself and uplifting you to feel empowered. That is what this collection centers around.

I enjoy the style that Cecelia uses for her poems. They use just enough words to provide the full force of meaning that is being conveyed.
There are so many times when I was reading that I felt that the poems were talking about me. I could relate to a lot of the poems and it made the book that much more enjoyable.
These poems are set out to make you feel empowered and it works. As I read, I felt as if I could do and accomplish anything. This is something that I have not experienced in any kind of book before. It is refreshing and invigorating.
Uncaged Wallflower is an empowering poetry book that really resonated with me. I loved how the poems made me feel as I read them. I can’t wait to read more by Jennae Cecelia!

Positivity is a must in all our lives. I’m empowered by the people’s story of overcoming problems and troubles. I’m empowered by children. They’re not bad kids, so I guess I must be ok. I’m empowered by music.
I agree!
I’ve never read any poetry I wouldn’t really no where to start. If love some recommendations if you have any?

Its a very inspiring read! I’d defintely recommend it!
I love the premise – positivity – we could all use more of that!
It is refreshing! 😊
RE your review format, I like it. I like the darker text more because I can read it without highlighting. I’m struggling to read the rest though because its so close to the background colour :hides:
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll have to look at trying to darken the text.
The first poetry review i’ve read online. Im not much of a poetry person, but I love the fact that this one was enjoyable to you as a reader. The review system makes sense for us who dont normally read poetry. At least when I come across a poetry book, I will know what im looking for, well in terms of constructuve reviewing.
I’ve recently gotten into poetry and have been enjoying it! I’m glad you enjoyed my review! 😊
