Anyone with a Gmail account has access to these free document creators. Just like Microsoft Word and Excel, but without the cost. You can easily write from your phone or tablet. Add sections to a Google Sheet, update information, you can do a lot from the Google Docs and Sheets Apps.
Now, there are some limitations to what you can do with these forms. For example, some formatting options and fonts are not available. But for something to write a first draft in or section your story notes on the go, these are the perfect options for you.
Wattpad is a unique app for writers and readers! I mentioned it in my Top 10 Apps for Readers because of how easy it is to read submitted stories. But it’s also a great place to add your own story. All you have to do is type up your story, add a cover image, and submit it into the Wattpad world.
Want to work on your story, but it’s stored on your desktop? Well, try saving it to Dropbox instead! As long as you have an app that supports the file type, you can open your WIP or any document you need to work on your story. It’s a great way to be productive when you have access to everything you work on from your own personal laptop or computer.
Creating any type of graphic is made easier using Canva. You can download created images from the app, but you can also design new images right from your phone. It’s not as easy to use as you’re confined to using your finger, but it is definitely an app you can use to make changes on images. You can get the app for IOS or Andriod.

All of these apps are very useful! Canva is easier to navigate on the computer but it’s great for graphics on the go. 😊
Scrivener has an app??? Cool. I’ll have to check it out.
Yes!! Definitely makes it easier to work on the go!
Ooh! I didn’t know Canva had an app! If I had to add an app to this, it would definitely be Wordly, it’s how I keep track of my wordcounts for longer projects, and it also tells you how many hours you’ve spent on each project!
I prefer Canva on a desktop but the app is good for touching up designs. I’ve never heard of Wordly. That’s so amazing that you can keep track of your progress on it. Time to download another app! Thanks! 😁
Unfortunately, I can’t find the Wordly app 😔
