There is something about happy and inspiring poetry that I just love. I read and reviewed the original version of Uncaged Wallflower. Well, the Uncaged Wallflower Extended Edition is even better! Not only is the original collection of poems in this edition, but there are more poems! Yes, more inspiring and empowering poems to devour!
The collection is still on the short end, as I was able to finish it in around 2 hours. But the feeling that stays with you after you’re finished is worth it. So let’s get to the review!

My Rating: 5 pens!
Goodreads Synopsis: An extended edition off of the best-selling poetry book, Uncaged Wallflower. This edition has over 110 new poems and over 50 images. Uncaged Wallflower is for those who feel trapped in the thoughts their minds produce, unable to express them with the rest of the world out of fear of critique or disagreement. For the people who need an extra dose of positivity in their day and inspiration to follow their dreams. This is not a poetry book for you to read and relate to in a sorrow filled way. It is for you to read and say yes, I can be better, and I will.

I really enjoy Jennae Cecelia’s poetry style. Each poem is uniquely laid out and varies between long and short. The variety of the poem lengths keeps me interested in the poems as I make my way through her book.
I feel a strong relation to these poems. Many of the newly added poems discuss anxiety and social anxiety. Although, I’m not an expert, nor am I diagnosed with anxiety. I feel on some level that I relate to the feeling that anxiety brings to you in situations that are unfamiliar or in staying home instead of going out. It is a nice expanded edition of this book.
The empowerment and positive feelings that this book leaves me with are amazing! Just like in Uncaged Wallflower, I feel like I can accomplish anything. It’s such a great and inspiring read.
Uncaged Wallflower Extended Edition is even better than the original edition. It incorporates a lot of new and empowering poems, along with the poems from the original edition. Jennae Cecelia’s poetry is uplifting and powerful and is definitely worth the read if you’re looking for some positivity in your life.

I don’t read poetry but sounds good 🙂 I enjoyed your review.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! ☺
Would you recommend this collection for someone who does suffer from anxiety? I would be interested in reading this if you do recommend it! Great review!
Thanks! 😊 I think it has a few great poems specifically about anxiety that would he great. The other poems are great for improving your overall mindset. So yes I’d recommend it if those are what you’re interested in 🙂
I’m not a poetry lover per se, but I don’t mind them when they are short.
I get what you mean. Short poems that pack a punch are easier to connect with than longer more obscure poems. Although some long poems are really good.
Wow, I need to check this out. That first poem, “shut up, anxiety” pulled me in. Great review!

Thanks! 😄
I have not picked up a good collection of poems in such a long time probably since my late teens, it is something I need to add more of into my reading.

I like the layout of these poems. They are in free verse so they flow a lot nicer than poems that follow a strict structure.
Lovely!
It’s a wonderful poetry collection!
This looks really interesting, I have been meaning to read more upbeat poetry and this looks right up my alley!
Its very upbeat and inspiring. I hope you enjoy it! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
